The quality management (QM) of Krefeld-based MBS GmbH has been successfully certified. Following submission of the QM manual and an initial audit, the Krefeld-based building automation specialist was confirmed that no deviations from the ISO 9001 quality management standards had been identified. "The certificate makes it clear that we demonstrably observe the principles of quality management and attach great importance to the satisfaction of our customers," emphasizes Managing Director Nils-Gunnar Fritz.

Shared network for testing with Secure Connect is now available to device developers free of charge

BACnet, the open standard for data exchange in building automation, was expanded last year with the Secure Connect (BACnet/SC) security infrastructure. Since then, this has been the first German cooperation to offer encrypted data transmission via the Internet for a distributed test network.

In view of the current situation, it has been decided to cancel the Buildings 4.0 symposium originally planned for May 19-20, 2020. The health of exhibitors and visitors must now be the top priority. A new date is being coordinated.

Due to the increased spread of the coronavirus in Europe, Messe Frankfurt has decided to postpone Light + Building after intensive consultations.

The world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology will now take place at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds from September 27 to October 2, 2020.

MBS GmbH has become a member of the Open Connectivity Foundation OCF (https://openconnectivity.org) in order to pave the way for the future of classic building automation. "After joining the Thread Group, our membership of the OCF is a logical step," says MBS Managing Director Nils-Gunnar Fritz. "We want to combine our expertise in the field of classic building technology with the technologies of the Internet of Things."

cci Zeitung: MBS has developed two plug-ins for its BACnet explorer "BACeye 2.0". These make the "TRIC" planning tool from Mervisoft GmbH, Wiesbaden, usable for the automated testing of BACnet networks and allow the data point configuration to be checked automatically.
