Together with Munich Airport, the building automation specialist invites you to an international exchange on optimal BACnet communication
The annual Plugfest of the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) will be organized by MBS GmbH in 2019. In cooperation with Flughafen München GmbH (FMG), the Krefeld-based building automation experts are inviting participants to the IT labs of the "Information Security Hub" at the Bavarian airport. "Thanks to our cooperation with the top-rated European airport as the local host, we are offering participants the perfect location," says Nils-Gunnar Fritz, CEO of MBS GmbH and member of the BIG-EU Board. "In addition to the ideal accessibility, this applies above all to the Information Security Hub, whose technical equipment is perfectly suited for our 'Plug Festival'."
"Plug Festival" at Munich Airport
The BIG-EU Plugfest 2019 will take place following the BIG-EU General Meeting from May 22 to 24. It is aimed at all European manufacturers of building automation technology that use the BACnet bus protocol for data transmission. Device developers and product managers bring their latest innovations to the event, which is held once a year. Their aim: to test their application compatibility and interoperability with new developments from other manufacturers in this protected environment - in different constellations and in a constructive atmosphere. "We are delighted to welcome the participants of the BIG-EU Plugfest 2019 to our competence center for IT security," says Marc Lindike, Head of Information Security Assurance at FMG. "Our professional test and training environment offers the opportunity to test new products and services under realistic conditions."
A new feature this year is that US device manufacturers will also be addressed via BACnet International. Munich Airport, for its part, will be recruiting international manufacturers to attend the event, which in the past has always been rated as a committed gathering with great practical benefits. "This means that Plugfest 2019 will grow beyond European borders," predicts Fritz. "We are very excited to see how many non-European manufacturers for building automation with BACnet will be inspired by this collegial exchange in view of the modern possibilities at ISH."
