MBS Universal Gateways certified to BACnet standard

Universal Gateways from MBS have received the BACnet certificate from the independent certification body WSPCert

The Universal Gateways of the Standard model series and with an integrated PROFINET, KNX, LON, DALI, x-link and M-Bus protocol hardware adapter have been successfully certified in accordance with the "BACnet standard" DIN EN ISO 16484-5 in BACnet protocol revision 14.

"With the BACnet certificate, we have now also provided formal proof for our customers in the constantly growing market for BACnet products that our Universal Gateways guarantee smooth communication with devices from a wide range of manufacturers," explains Nils-Gunnar Fritz, CEO of MBS GmbH. "Furthermore, the conformity test is mandatory in many tenders," he continues.

The MBS Universal Gateways

The MBS Universal Gateways are based on a product platform and therefore offer exceptional versatility and flexibility for adapting to changing requirements - this advantage leads to particularly low overall costs: there is no need to purchase a new gateway, as new functions can simply be activated due to the adaptability. The MBS Universal Gateways therefore have numerous functions that help our customers to reduce downtimes, shorten integration times and cut costs in the long term.

Fast integration

Universal gateways with integrated hardware adapters allow installations to be integrated quickly, easily and efficiently into industrial and building automation systems. The hardware adapter integrated in the gateway eliminates the need for the usual external bus coupler and reduces the amount of cabling required. This also enables faster connection to serial or network-based communication protocols.

All important communication protocols are available

With its numerous available communication protocols, the gateways offer the right solution for almost every requirement. Manufacturer-specific protocols can also be implemented on request.

Faster commissioning thanks to modern web interface

The gateways have a web interface for configuration and analysis. This considerably simplifies the configuration of the devices and therefore enables faster commissioning. In addition, the web interface offers the possibility to use the various upgrade options of the MBS gateways, for example the activation of up to 2,500 data points.

An auto-configuration function is available for many of the MBS gateways, which generates a project configuration largely automatically. This makes commissioning even easier and more convenient.
