UBR-02 BACnet router

The UBR-02 supports the current BACnet revision 22 and can therefore be used to set up the innovative Secure Connect(BACnet/SC) security structure. It routes between the media MS/TP (RS485), Ethernet and IP, which can be interconnected to form a common BACnet network. With two network connections, the UBR-02 can also connect two separate IP areas.

For optimum safety in building automation

The innovative Secure Connect (SC) security infrastructure of the manufacturer-independent BACnet communication standard is now supported by our UBR-02 universal BACnet router. The tried-and-tested network router still has all the features that our customers value. With BACnet/SC based on revision 22, a new configuration has now been added that makes it easier for property operators to switch to greater system security.

Equipped for the changeover

The device has been given the new BACnet/SC data link layer. Its web interface has been adapted for this and now offers a different structure that includes additional pages for protected communication - for example for data exchange between individual devices, for encryption and for the certificates required for this. The previous features remain the same, so that data can still be routed with BACnet MS/TP, BACnet/IP and BACnet Ethernet.

The product now includes the current BACnet revision 22, which contains standards for setting up secure building automation. At the same time, it is designed to be downwards compatible so that existing BACnet equipment in an automation system can communicate with the new universal BACnet router. This ensures both future viability and innovation security.
