BIG-EU strengthens management team

Proof of trust in the European BACnet association

The members of the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) elected a new management team at their annual meeting in Frankfurt. The new board members are Nils Gunnar Fritz (MBS) and Tobias Kleine (DIAL).

President Klaus Wächter (Siemens), Vice President Brad Hill (Honeywell) and Treasurer Karl Heinz Belser (Johnson Controls) were re-elected. Frank Schubert (Beckhoff) was elected to succeed Professor Peter Fischer (Dortmund University of Applied Sciences) as Spokesman of the Advisory Board. Roland Schönebeck (GEZE) strengthened the BIG-EU Advisory Board as a new member. Frank Schubert (Beckhoff), Hubert Fritsch (Distech Controls) and Dan Napar (Siemens) were re-elected to the Advisory Board. The sponsor representatives Sergio Bellano (Johnson Controls), Thomas Kurowski (Siemens), Dario Sala (Honeywell) and Volker Röhl (STRABAG) have a permanent seat on the advisory board. Nils Gunnar Fritz and his deputy Tobias Kleine were elected to head the Marketing working group. Christoph Zeller (Sauter) was confirmed as head of the Technology working group, as was his deputy Thomas Kurowski.

The large turnout at the Annual General Meeting was a vote of confidence in the old and new management team. The next elections will take place in fall 2020.
