MBS WEBinterface

Configuration and analysis of MBS gateways

The MBS web interface enables even faster commissioning and configuration of the MBS gateways.
The web interface makes it even faster and easier to configure and commission the devices during integration.

Depending on the model, the web interface also offers the option of using the various upgrade options of the MBS gateways, for example the activation of up to 2,500 data points for the X series.

Dropbox option

By activating the Dropbox option, trend data can be recorded and intelligent backups of the gateway configuration can be created, among other things. This option can also be used as a basis for redundant systems.

Online editor for configuration

The gateway's configuration files can be edited directly via the web interface. A download and subsequent upload is not necessary - the configuration is saved permanently on the gateway.

Web services

The web services interface can be activated in addition to the respective drivers and is used, for example, to operate the MBS Gateway with the MBS App "UGW Remote" or simply to query data points via HTTP/HTTPS access.

M-Bus scan

The M-Bus driver offers the option of an automatic scan of the M-Bus meters. After an M-Bus scan, the M-Bus configuration can be generated via the web interface. Autoconfig for BACnet and Profinet: Both BACnet and Profinet project configurations can be generated from the detected M-Bus data points, provided the respective driver (BACnet or Profinet) is installed. Further protocols will follow.

Analysis

Furthermore, the new MBS web interface offers the possibility of analysis, e.g. a complete internal system status of the MBS Gateway software can be output. This gives you a compact overview of the status and all installed and configured properties of the device. The log output can be activated for each communication driver to provide information about the program progress and any communication problems that may occur.

Upgrade options

Depending on the model, the web interface also offers the option of using the various upgrade options for MBS gateways, such as activation of up to 2,500 data points for the new pico, nano, micro, XL and XXL gateway product family.

BACnet Engineering Data Exchange (EDE)

The configured BACnet data points can be provided by the gateway in the form of an EDE file.

BACeye MBS version included

For the visualization and analysis of BACnet networks, the MBS gateways are supplied with BACeye - the BACnet Explorer from MBS GmbH in a special license for unrestricted access to MBS devices as a USB card. BACeye enables easy access to the BACnet devices and their objects and properties.
